Biography

Alyssa Lekites is a passionate and versatile dancer whose work blends strong technical training with a deep commitment to storytelling through movement. She is currently pursuing her degree at the University of Arizona School of Dance, where she has trained extensively in jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, ballet, and a range of modern techniques including Graham, Horton, Limón, and Parsons.

Alyssa has performed in works by acclaimed choreographers such as Tyce Diorio, Marinda Davis, Tamara Dyke-Compton, and Gianni Howell, taking on both ensemble and featured roles. Her performance experience reflects a dynamic range, from high-energy, rhythm-driven pieces to emotionally grounded, narrative work. She is especially drawn to movement that connects physically and emotionally with an audience, aiming to create performances that feel both powerful and authentic.

In addition to her concert dance experience, Alyssa has worked professionally as a company member with Marinspired and as a skeleton crew dancer with HMG Company. These opportunities have strengthened her adaptability, professionalism, and collaborative spirit in fast-paced creative environments.

Beyond dance, Alyssa brings a strong athletic background with skills in acrobatics and power tumbling, as well as a passion for visual art, which continues to influence her creative voice. She approaches her work with curiosity, discipline, and a drive to grow as both an artist and performer.
